  • Title: Debate on Women’s poverty in Europe during Strasbourg plenary session
  • Content: During the upcoming plenary session, Prof Huebner will take part in the debate on Women’s poverty in Europe. She will focus on the causes and consequences of a considerable underrepresentation of women in the digital economy. Europe’s digital future includes big data, robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and the Internet of things; and we need to make sure that women take their rightful place in that future.

  • Title: Intervention in plenary – The UK government’s unilateral introduction of the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill, and respect for international law
  • Content: Following the Council and Commission statement, the European Parliament will debate the UK Government’s Northern Ireland Protocol Bill. As a member of the UK Contact Group, Prof Huebner will share her views on the bill and hopes for a negotiated outcome.
