INTA Committee meeting to vote on Standard Essential Patents (SEP) Regulation
On Tuesday, 28th of November, the INTA Committee will vote on the adoption of the Committee’s draft opinion on the Regulation on Standard Essential Patents. The Regulation, for which Professor Danuta Hübner was the INTA Opinion’s rapporteur, aims to facilitate SEP licensing by increasing transparency over SEPs, reducing information asymmetries in the market and facilitating SEP’s licensing on Fair, Reasonable and Non-Discriminatory (‘FRAND’).

ECON Committee to vote on European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR)
On Tuesday, 28th of November, the ECON Committee will vote on the decision to enter into interinstitutional negotiations for the Regulation amending the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), as well as the CRD, IFD and the UCITS Directives, based on the reports of which Professor Danuta Hübner was the rapporteur. Both files aim to ensure that the EU clearing framework is fit for the future and provides a safe and competitive support for a well-functioning Capital Markets Union.
