ECON Committee meeting, Monetary Dialogue with Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank
Prof. Danuta Huebner will participate to the third Monetary Dialogue of the year between the members of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) of the European Parliament and Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank. This Monetary Dialogue will take place in a particularly challenging environment, marked by strong inflationary pressures. The exchange will also be the first Monetary Dialogue since the Governing Council of the ECB decided to raise twice the key ECB interest rates for the first time since 2011. In her remarks, Professor Huebner will focus on the assessment of the ECB’s current monetary policy stance and the anti-fragmentation tool recently introduced by the ECB.
