- Economic Committee Meeting and Monetary Dialogue with ECB President Christine Lagarde
On 7th of February , ECON Committee will hold the last Monetary Dialogue the ECB President Christine Lagarde. With speaking time confirmation pending, Professor Huebner will have a chance to address some of the most important topics currently such as inflation.
Ahead of the Monetary Dialogue ECON members attended a preparatory meeting which was held on 2 February 2022, 11.00-13.00 (Webex), where experts presented papers on i) Inflation Expectations in the Euro Area: Post-Pandemic Trends and Policy Implications and ii) Communication, Complexity and Credibility of Monetary Policy.

- Participation to the INTA/SEDE Hearing on Foreign Direct Investment
The Committee on International Trade and Sub-Committee on Security & Defence will host a joint public hearing on “Assessing the risks and policy responses to foreign direct investment, including Chinese investments in the security and defence sectors”. Prof. Danuta Huebner, in her role of EPP shadow for investment policy, will share her views on the implementation of the FDI screening regulation.
