- Interparliamentary Meeting of the Constitutional Affairs Committee with the participation of national parliamentarians
On Wednesday during the morning session of the AFCO Committee, there will be a debate with members of national Parliaments from all 27 EU countries about the expectations that national parliamentary representatives have for the Conference on the Future of Europe. This will be an excellent opportunity to find common solutions for the interaction between the two institutional components of the Conference. Professor Danuta Huebner, member of the EPP delegation to the CoFoE plenary session, will present her ideas in this regard.
In the afternoon, the meeting of the Constitutional Affairs Committee will start with a discussion about the amendments to the planned reform of the electoral law in the European Parliament. One of the main points of contention is the issue of transnational electoral lists, which would be placed alongside national lists on the ballot papers.
